Some 1986-1989 Toronados may experience flickering or blank Instrument panel (IPC) and Climate Control/CRT displays, possibly accompanied by code E047. This may be caused by a poor solder connection In the Central Power Supply (CPS). If both the IPC and the Climate Control/CRT displays are flickerlng or are blank, check the part number on the CPS. If it is 16058596, replace it with P/N 16088406. Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
