Assembly/Installation

1. Lubricate all internal parts with engine oil.
2. Pack all pump cavities with petroleum jelly, then install gears.
3. Install oil pump cover assembly, then the pressure regulator valve, spring and pin or plug. Torque pump cover attaching bolts to specifications.
4. Clean intake screen, then install oil filter and restrictor.
