DTC B1001 Option Configuration Error:

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
If the vehicle option configuration is not set when the body control module (BCM) is programmed.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
^ The DTC B1001 is stored in the BCM memory.
^ The SERVICE VEHICLE SOON indicator lamp is Illuminated.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
^ The BCM goes to sleep and reinitializes with the fault cleared.
^ The BCM history codes will be cleared after 100 ignition cycles (from OFF to RUN) with no current codes active during the 100 ignition cycles.
^ Use the Scan Tool.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Use a scan tool in order to check the BCM configuration. The scan tool should read an invalid configuration or none exists.
