Condition

Some customers may comment on a high rear door swing effort.

Correction

Replace the rear door check link following the procedure in the Doors sub-section of the Service Manual.

Revised check links went into production early in the 2001 model year. To identify which check links are on the car, use the following information:

^ The first design check link may be identified by a black plastic coating on the arm of the check link.

^ The new revised parts will be painted body color or will have a metallic appearance to the check link arm.
