Water Pump: Service and Repair

1. Drain cooling system, then disconnect air duct and electrical connector.
2. Disconnect top coil of coil pack, then loosen tensioner pulley bolt.
3. Disconnect heater hose from pump, then loosen water pump pulley bolts.
4. Remove power steering bracket bolts, then the serpentine drive belt.
5. Remove water pump pulley, then the power steering pump bracket and pump.
6. Remove water pump.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten fasteners to specifications.
b. Bleed cooling system
