Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair

Brake Pedal Assembly:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Cotter pin and clevis pin from vacuum booster pushrod.
2. Pedal spring.
3. Pedal shaft bolt and nut.

Inspect Brake pedal bushings for wear. Replace them if necessary.

Install or Connect
1. Pedal to vehicle; secure with shaft bolt and nut.
^ Tighten Pedal shaft bolt and nut to 24 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).

2. Pedal spring.
3. Cotter pin and clevis pin to vacuum booster pushrod.
