Valve Clearance: Adjustments

Perform the following steps to adjust the valve lash.

1. Set the number one cylinder to top dead center.
2. Ensure the camshaft is in proper phase.
3. Adjust valves 1,2,8 and 6.
4. Rotate the crankshaft one revolution (360 degrees).
5. Adjust valves 3,4,7 and 5.

Intake Valve Cold Valve Lash 0.13 - 0.17 mm (0.005 - 0.007 inches)
Exhaust Valve Cold Valve Leash 0.13 - 0.17 mm (0.005 - 0.007 inches)
Intake Valve Hot Valve Leash 0.17 - 0.21 mm (0.007 - 0.008 inches)
Exhaust Valve Hot Valve Leash 0.17 - 0.21 mm (0.007 - 0.008 inches)
