Preliminary Checks

The condition of an automatic transaxle not operating properly may be influenced by one or a combination of the following items:
^ The fluid level may be too high or too low.
^ The engine may be performing poorly.
^ The throttle valve (TV) cable may be out of adjustment.
^ The shift select cable may be out of adjustment.
^ The transaxle may have internal fluid leaks.
^ There may be a problem with the electrical system.
^ The vehicle may have a problem in the transaxle or in the other mechanical components.
