Console Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the transmission control lever handle retainer.
2. Remove the transmission control lever handle.




3. Remove the center trim plate.
4. Remove the front floor console bolt access hole cover.
5. Remove the fasteners (2) retaining the rear of the console.




6. Remove the fasteners (1, 2) retaining the front of the console.




7. Remove the retainer from the front of the console.
8. Lift up on the rear of the console.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
9. Carefully remove the console.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Partially install the lower console.
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Align the console.
4. Install the retainer to the front of the console.




NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the fasteners (1, 2) to the front of the console.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




6. Install the lower console fasteners (2) to the rear floor studs.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

7. Install the front floor console bolt access hole cover.
8. Install the center trim plate.
9. Install the transmission control lever handle.
10. Install the transmission control lever handle retainer.
