During transmission repairs where the pinion head nut has to be removed, it is possible on some transmissions that the thread will be damaged.
In these cases, the automatic section of the transmission should be replaced.
This condition can only occur to transmissions from Production No. 525772 to 640351.
The production number is on the right side, above the oil pan.
