SUBJECT: NEW STEERING GEOMETRY

APPLICATION: 1987 900 MODELS WITH SPG OPTION
To optimize the roadholding characteristics of the 900 with the SPG option, new steering geometery has been introduced from the beginning of M87 production. The change was made necessary because of the new lower chassis height and the subsequent change in wheel travel.



New Steering Geometry (SPG Only)


Toe-In 1.5 +/- 0.5 mm *
2.5 +/- 0.8 mm **

* Toe-in measured at rim ** Toe-in measured at universal circle



Camber (positive) 0.25 +/- 0.25 degrees


Caster (positive) 2 +/- 0.25 degrees
