Accelerator Pedal: Service and Repair

ACCELERATOR CONTROLS PEDAL REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the lower I/P hush panel.




2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the pedal by sliding the cable upward.




3. Remove the accelerator pedal to bulkhead fasteners.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the accelerator pedal into the vehicle and tighten the fasteners.

Tighten the accelerator pedal-to-front of dash to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




2. Install the accelerator pedal cable.




3. Install the lower I/P hush panel.
