Owner Letter Dated April 1989

APRIL 1989

Dear Subaru Owner:

Recently we mailed to you a recall notice that pertained to your 1988MY or 1989MY Justy 4WD vehicle. At that time you were requested to return your vehicle to an authorized "Subaru Dealer for the addition of oil to the 4WD transmission case. In that notice we advised that we would send a replacement (yellow cap color) 4WD transmission case dipstick and an insert for your owners manual which describes the correct 4WD transmission oil level and the checking procedure.

Enclosed in this package are those two items. You should place the enclosed insert into your owners manual as soon a possible, so that you don't forget to do it. Also you should remove and discard the original (brown cap color) 4WD transmission case dipstick and replace it with the enclosed (yellow cap color) 4WD transmission case dipstick. (See Owner's Manual for location)

If you have any difficulty in replacing the 4WD transmission case dipstick or placing the insert into your owners manual, your Subaru Dealer is ready to assist you at no charge.

We regret any inconvenience this matter may cause you. However, we have taken this action in the interest of your safety and your continued satisfaction with our products.
