Pick-Up Coil: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT SIGNAL GENERATOR (PICKUP COIL) RESISTANCE
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

G pickup coil resistance (G - G (-)): 140 - 180 ohms
NE pickup coil resistance (NE - G (-)): 140 - 180 ohms

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the distributor housing assembly.
