Servicing Refrigerant Circuit

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Information on repair work in vehicles with climate control system and on handling refrigerant.

• Information on tools for repairs in vehicles with climate control system.

• Extract the refrigerant beforehand using the ROB 134APF (A/C service station (VAS 6007A)).

• The previously used service stations can still be used, refer to V.A.G workshop equipment catalog.

• To prevent the entry of dampness all components of the refrigerant circuit which have been opened must be sealed with suitable plugs.

• The color coding of O-rings for the R134a refrigerant circuits has been discontinued. Colored and black O-rings are used.

• Threaded connections of refrigerant circuit must be coated with polyethylene glycol (PEG) VW material number 294440 before installing.

• Under certain conditions, the fluid reservoir with dryer cartridge must no longer be replaced after each time refrigerant circuit is opened.
