Headlamp Range Control Module (J431), Coding

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B)

Procedure

- Connect the (VAS 5051B).

- Use the GO TO button to select the "function/component selection" and the following menu options one after the other:

- Using the Go To button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:

• Body

• Electrical Equipment

• 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems

• Automatic Headlamp Range Control

• Functions of automatic headlamp range control

• Coding automatic vertical headlamp aim control

If the headlamp range control module (J431) is being coded, then perform a basic setting to the headlamp.
