Exhaust Manifold, Front Exhaust Pipes with Catalytic Converters and Front Mufflers Overview
1 Connector
• Brown, 6 pin
2 Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (G108)
• 50 Nm
• Bank 2, sensor 1.
• Installed in the exhaust gas stream of cylinders 4, 5 and 6.
• Grease the thread only with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) , do not let the paste get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Heated Oxygen Sensor G39 and Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 G108 ] Heated Oxygen Sensor G39 and Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 G108.
3 Nut
• M8 - 25 Nm
• M10 - 40 Nm
• Always replace.
4 Connector
• Black, 6 pin
5 Heated Oxygen Sensor (G39)
• 50 Nm
• Bank 1, sensor 1.
• Installed in the exhaust gas stream of cylinders 1, 2 and 3.
• Grease the threads only with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) , do not let the paste get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Heated Oxygen Sensor G39 and Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 G108 ] Heated Oxygen Sensor G39 and Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 G108.
6 Oxygen Sensor 2 after Catalytic Converter (G131)
• 50 Nm
• Bank 2, sensor 2.
• Installed in the exhaust gas stream of cylinders 4, 5 and 6.
• Grease the threads only with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) , do not let the paste get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.
• Use the ring spanner 7-piece set (3337) for removal and installation.
7 Connector
• Black, 4 pin
8 Connector
• Brown, 4 pin
9 Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter (G130)
• 50 Nm
• Bank 1, sensor 2.
• Installed in the exhaust gas stream of cylinders 1, 2 and 3.
• Grease the threads only with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) , do not let the paste get onto the slits of the oxygen sensor body.
• Use the ring spanner 7-piece set (3337) for removal and installation.

12 Bolt
• 20 Nm
13 Gasket
• Always replace.
14 Exhaust Manifold
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Exhaust Manifold ] Exhaust Manifold.
15 Nut
• 25 Nm
• Always replace.
16 Front Muffler
17 to the Muffler
18 Bolt
• 25 Nm
19 Suspended Mount
• For the front exhaust pipes.
20 Catalytic Converter
• See the note in => [ Exhaust Manifold, Front Exhaust Pipes with Catalytic Converters and Front Mufflers Overview ] Exhaust Manifold, Front Exhaust Pipes with Catalytic Converters and Front Mufflers Overview.
• Installed in exhaust stream of cylinder 1, 2 and 3 on right side as well as 4, 5 and 6 on left side
21 Primary Catalytic Converter
• With a coupling element.
• The coupling elements must not be bent more than 20° - otherwise they may be damaged
• Installed in the exhaust streams of cylinder 1, 2 and 3 on the right side as well as 4, 5 and 6 on the left side
