HID Headlamp Control Module (J343)/(J344)

The Left HID headlamp control module (J343) or the Right HID headlamp control module (J344) is located at the bottom of the headlamp housing.

• The following illustrations show the procedure for removing and installing the HID headlamp control module on the right headlamp. Removing and installing the left headlamp is identical.

Removing

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ HID Headlamps With Cornering Lamp ] HID Headlamps With Cornering Lamp.

- Remove both bolts - arrows -.






• The connector is disconnected at the same time when the HID headlamp control module is removed from the headlamp housing.

- Remove the HID headlamp control module - 1 - upward from the headlamp housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:


Make sure the seal fits correctly when installing the HID headlamp ballast. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

- Tighten the mounting screws to the tightening specification shown in => [ HID Headlamp and Cornering Lamp Overview ] HID Headlamp and Cornering Lamp Overview.

- Check headlamp for function.
