Refrigerant Circuit Components Overview

• Refrigerant must be extracted before hand using, for example, Robinair A/C service unit (ROB 134APF) or subsequent models.

• Environmentally hazardous draining of refrigerant is an offense punishable by law.

• The previously used service stations can still be used. Refer to workshop equipment catalog.

• Safety measures when working on an evacuated refrigerant circuit, refer to => [ Repairing Vehicles Equipped with A/C and Handling Refrigerants ] Repairing Vehicles Equipped with A/C and Handling Refrigerants, notes regarding repair work on vehicles with air conditioning and the handling of refrigerant.

• To prevent the entry of dampness all components of the refrigerant circuit which have been opened must be sealed with suitable plugs.

• The color coding of refrigerant circuit O-rings with R134a has been discontinued. Colored and black O-rings are used.






1 Air Intake Shroud

• Under the right plenum chamber cover.

3 Expansion Valve

5 Low Pressure Refrigerant Line

• With evacuating and charging valve, low pressure side.

6 High Pressure Refrigerant Line
