CU Climate Control Unit Installation
Before starting installation, check that air intake seal is intact.
If climate control system is fitted with AC:

Install:
- evaporator at the same time as it is mounted in the car.
- evaporator cover.
- sensor head if removed.
Insulate hose connections carefully so that no condensation occurs when using the AC system.
Note: Do not insulate expansion valve.
The procedure is the same for models with and without AC from step K28 onwards.

Install upper mounting bolts.

Install:
- vacuum hose to control panel for REC vent.
- protective cover over hoses.
- fan motor switch connector.
- fan motor positive lead.

Install:
- hose to vacuum tank.
- lower heater mounting.
- air duct to rear floor.
- upper member.
- center console.

Shutter Actuator Diaphragm Hoses:
Install:
- air ducts.
- hoses to vacuum motors.

Tighten upper heater mounting screws slightly.

Install:
- upper water hose to heater matrix.
- air ducts.
- hoses to vacuum motors.

Install:
- lower heater mounting.
- hose to control valve. Remove hose pliers.
- wire and sheath to control valve. Adjust wire.
- hose to vacuum tank.
- air duct to rear seat.
- upper and lower screws to center console.
- screws to center member.
- fan motor ground lead.

Install dashboard.

Install:
- air duct between heater and center vents.
- lead to glove compartment light.
- rubber straps to defroster vents.

Connect connector to drier switch.

Install:
- dashboard frame.
- center vents.
- storage compartment.

Install:
- dashboard and connect speedometer cable and electrical connections as necessary.
- extra instrument covers.

Install:
- light switch knob.
- rheostat knob for instrument lighting.
- strip under outer vent.

Install:
- covers around steering wheel arm.
- choke control/choke cover.

Install:
- strip under outer vent.
- glove compartment.

Install:
- center control panel. Connect electrical leads as necessary.
- radio.
Note: If installation is equipped with AC: be careful not to damage the sensor head.

Install:
- side panels and soundwalls on both sides.
- battery negative lead.

Check coolant level, top up if necessary.
