Air Injection Control Valve: Service and Repair

Secondary Air Injection Combination Valves

Removing

- Remove Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump. Refer to => [ Secondary Air Injection Pump ] Service and Repair.

- Remove air guide hoses - 1 through 4 - from secondary air injection combi-valves.





- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove left air duct.





- Loosen hose clamp - 1 - and remove screws - 2, 3 and 4 -.





- Remove the left air filter upper section.

- Disconnect electrical connector - arrow - on Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor 2 (G246).





- Remove the air filter lower section form the side connection.





- Remove the air filter lower section upward - arrow -.

- Remove vacuum hoses - 2 - and - 4 - from secondary air injection combi-valves.





- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 3 - and remove bracket with secondary air injection combi-valves.

- Remove affected secondary air injection combi-valve from bracket.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace seals.

- Install Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump. Refer to => [ Secondary Air Injection Pump ] Service and Repair.

- Install left air filter housing.
